Consider becoming a foster carer for a dog in need. Your simple act of offering a walk, a cuddle, some interaction, or even a sleepover can make an unimaginable difference.

Foster Carer Agreement. This is to certify that I agree to foster animals for The House of the Fallen Hounds Dog Rescue and have read, understood and agree to abide by all requirements listed below. Animals in the care of The House of the Fallen Hounds Dog Rescue each have different requirements and foster carers are matched to animals based on the needs of the animal and the carers’ skills and capabilities. Typically, little is known about their background and The House of the Fallen Hounds Dog Rescue cannot predict the behaviour of any animal in a home environment nor guarantee the safety of any person or animal when in contact with the foster animal. It is the responsibility of the foster carer to ensure both that the animals’ needs are met to the highest possible standard of welfare and that any risks posed by the animal to persons, animals or property are mitigated and/or avoided to the best of their ability. By fostering animals for The House of the Fallen Hounds Dog Rescue I agree to the following requirements:

I agree to only foster animals that I am capable of caring for appropriately. I will inform the The House of the Fallen Hounds Dog Rescue Foster Care Manager of any health or medical issues that may affect my ability to provide appropriate care to a foster animal.

I accept sole responsibility for the care of the animal. I will not leave the animal in the care of another person at any time without prior authorisation from the Foster Care Manager.

I agree to care for the foster animal in such a way that all safety risks are mitigated and/or avoided to ensure the safety of all persons and animals coming into contact with the foster animal, both within and outside the home.

I agree to follow all behavioural training and safety advice provided by The House of the Fallen Hounds Dog Rescue.

I accept all responsibility for any injury, loss or damages sustained by persons or animals while the animal is in my care and indemnify The House of the Fallen Hounds Dog Rescue against any costs incurred.

I agree to accept all responsibility for any damage to property resulting from or related to the foster animal (including my own property and any other property the animal may come into contact with) and indemnify The House of the Fallen Hounds Dog Rescue against any costs incurred.

I agree to provide all required care specific to the animals’ dietary, medical and behavioural needs (specific information will be provided with each animal) as directed by The House of the Fallen Hounds Dog Rescue staff.

I agree to ensure the animal is housed securely, is not able to escape and (in the case of dogs) is wearing a collar and tag with The House of the Fallen Hounds Dog Rescue contact details at all times. If the animal(s) escapes, I will notify The House of the Fallen Hounds Dog Rescue and/or the Foster Care Manager as soon as possible.

I understand that I may not give away or sell the foster animal. I understand that animal adoptions will be coordinated and authorised by The House of the Fallen Hounds Dog Rescue staff.

I acknowledge that I am responsible for any equipment lent to me by The House of the Fallen Hounds Dog Rescue and will return it in fair condition. I understand there may be a cost to me if this is lost or damaged.
